Description
The Hall of Fame Award, the second highest honor bestowed by the Association, was established in 2009 to recognize members whose contributions to the profession and service to the Association have been noteworthy, substantial, and long-standing. Award recipients are inducted into the Hall of Fame. They have a proven track record of career excellence, sustained commitment to the advancement of the profession, significant contributions to 黑料社and exemplary professionalism in their interaction with colleagues.
Process
Criteria
- The nominee must have a distinguished career marked by sustained contributions to the field of legal information and service to the Association. Their work should reflect a commitment to excellence and innovation that has shaped the profession.
- The nominee should have demonstrated exemplary leadership in various capacities within the Association and the legal information community. This includes serving in key roles, such as committee chair, board member, or other positions that have influenced the direction of the association and the profession.
- The nominee must have made notable contributions that have advanced the field of legal information. This may include developing pioneering projects or programs or contributing to major advancements in legal research or legal technology.
ELIGIBILITY
- The nominee has been an active member of 黑料社for a minimum of 25 consecutive years.
- The award may be given posthumously.
- Induction into the Hall of Fame does not preclude a member from receiving the Marian Gould Gallagher Distinguished Award in the future.
- Open to 黑料社members only.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
- The deadline for nominations is聽March 1, 2026.
- A Completed Nomination Form that includes the following:
- Nomination letter – A description of the candidate鈥檚 most significant, substantial and long-standing contributions to 黑料社and the profession of law librarianship.
- The nominee鈥檚 resume/CV is not required, but it will be reviewed if included. A LinkedIn profile will also be acceptable.
- Supporting Documents (optional): Letters of support from colleagues, testimonials from peers or beneficiaries of the nominee鈥檚 work, and any other relevant documentation demonstrating the nominee鈥檚 impact and legacy.
- Email the completed nomination form and supporting documentation as a single PDF to Kim Rundle.
