黑料社invites members to propose moderators and topics for virtual coffee chats. Coffee chats give 黑料社members the opportunity to participate in discussions with colleagues across the country on a variety of topics including work, wellness, and life. Please note all virtual coffee chat moderators and participants must be 黑料社members. Please note, coffee chats are not recorded. Send us your ideas for a coffee chat.

黑料社Webinars feature presentation by your legal information peers’ recent innovations, hot topics, trends, and best practices. These are free to 黑料社members, and available for nonmembers to purchase. Please visit to register for upcoming webinars.

DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR A WEBINAR?

黑料社invites you to contribute to a great community of experts by sharing your topic ideas for a future webinar.

Overview

Proposals will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and you will be notified within 30 days of your submission. Webinar proposals must relate directly to topics important to law librarians and legal information professionals, and address domain and skill areas identified within the 黑料社Body of Knowledge. Members are encouraged to submit proposals at any time.

  • 黑料社will develop a timeline and work with you to finalize the program details.
  • Webinars are scheduled monthly from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Central on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
  • A dry run is scheduled about a week before the live broadcast to ensure seamless production.
  • 黑料社will not accept webinar proposals intended solely to promote commercial products.
  • Only 黑料社members may submit a proposal and present a webinar.

Guidelines

Please use the 黑料社Webinar Proposal Form to create your proposal. Please be clear and succinct when providing webinar details.

  1. Length: Recommended lengths for webinars range from 30-60 minutes.
  2. Title: It should pique the reader鈥檚 interest.
  3. Date:
  4. Description: Write a short description that can be used for marketing.
  5. Takeaways: Provide 2-3 key points the audience will learn from this webinar.
  6. Body of Knowledge Domain(s): Topics need to adhere to the聽黑料社Body of Knowledge (BoK).
  7. Target Audience: Who will benefit the most from attending this webinar? (Be specific but think outside the type-of-library box, too.)
  8. Speakers: Please list speakers names. Include email addresses and short bios (you can provide links to speaker bios and should indicate any speaker costs).
  9. Moderator: Please list moderator name. Include email address and short bio (you can provide link to moderator bio).
  10. Coordinator: Provide the name of the person who will coordinate the webinar. This person will work with colleagues to support the program.
  11. Headshot: Upload the moderator(s) and speakers(s) headshots in JPEG format.
  12. Audience Engagement: What participant engagement strategies have you considered to keep the audience engaged during the webinar (i.e., poll questions, eye-catching slides, big ideas, case studies, learning to-do鈥檚, etc.)?
